I am so delighted to announce that I’m doing a collaboration with Feed, a small brand delivery service. I guess it’s fitting (because they work with small food brands) that they also work with small food creators. They have been so kind as to gift me a few free boxes of food and asked me to create my own box of some of my favorites, so that you can try my curation of goodies!
They didn’t ask me to do a full write up on all the products I chose, however a lot of the brands they work with are near and dear to my heart and/or are products that I genuinely love, so I wanted to share more about why I chose what I chose and give you all the deets.
Having worked in the food industry for most of my twenties, I’m now seeing old coworkers and friends of mine start their own food businesses and launch their own products. It’s exciting and inspiring and a great reminder to value the hard work of those creating high quality handmade products in a world full of mass produced crap.
Working in food all those years really opened my eyes to how harmful a lot of conventional farming and food practices are for the Earth and for the people eating those products. One way we can help to change our broken food system is by buying high quality foods from small business and local farmers who are dedicated to sustainable practices.
Because food delivery in itself is a luxury and we can’t all splurge on fancy treats, I focused on making my selection full of nourishing foods that will satiate you and last throughout the week, a combination of snacks, staples and elements of your daily routine.
Delivery is restricted mostly to major cities on the west coast of the US (map here), but even if you’re not close enough to order from Feed, you can definitely look up each individual purveyor and get these culinary delights shipped (depending on the brand).
I also just want to say, that while there was a point in time that I thought it would be awesome to be a full time influencer, I now realize how incredibly emotionally and mentally draining it would be to NEED to always be online to make a living.
I’m grateful to have Instagram and tiktok as a tool for sharing my writing and opportunities for collaborations like this are v exciting! But it’s not my intention to ever lean all the way into social media and brand partnerships. I want to always have the freedom to share what’s genuine and authentic to me at a pace that feels sustainable for my mental health.
I’ll never recommend anything that I don’t actually love for the sake of my own gain and consumerism will never be my main focus (except maybe to dismantle it as a solution to our problems). I’m here to share my thoughts and feelings and little bits and bobs of life that make it feel worth living. I’m very much averse to becoming a walking ad. That’s why I prefer to be on a platform where I can be paid directly for how much people value my work, rather than relying on paid advertisements.
AND I have nothing but respect for creators who would rather keep their content free and work with brands that are aligned with their message.
For full transparency, I get a 10% credit in my Feed account, if you order my box! Even if you don’t order this box, I would definitely recommend downloading the app and seeing what other great products they have and the other creators on the app who are sharing what they’re making with said products.

Okay, without further ado, here’s a breakdown of my box of nourishing staples in partnership with Feed:
Single Origin Matcha, Hikari by Matchaful
When Max and I lived above his family’s bakery, we would order matcha lattes from their coffee vendor, Hi-Fi espresso, and then walk Honey along the beach. Now that it’s been almost two months since we moved out, it’s starting to sink in how truly luxurious our lives were. Luckily, I had the foresight to ask the baristas what kind of matcha they used so I could try to make my own at home and they told me it was Matchaful which is high quality woman owned Japanese ceremonial grade matcha. Just a perfect way to start the day!
Adventure Bread by Josey Baker Bread
Back in 2016, I had a small stint working at Blue Bottle Coffee’s commissary in Oakland, baking the muffins, breads and cookies that were sent to each location around the bay. It wasn’t my favorite job, but they did have killer snacks in the break room. Everyday, I looked forward to making myself a sandwich of adventure bread, cheese and peak season tomatoes with a little Maldon salt. I’m a big gluten eater but something about this gluten free bread is so satiating and nourishing with all the nuts and seeds that I would actually choose it over a regular piece of sourdough when I was particularly hungry after the grind of the morning bake off.
If you’re gonna snack on bread, you need a good cheese to go with it! Mt. Tam triple cream is THE cheese of my twenties (lol). I used to get it at Berkeley Bowl and eat ungodly amounts throughout the week. I essentially lived off wine, bread and cheese for years. So biblical of me considering how unholy that time in my life was. Lol no regrats. And yes, I’m going to talk about my twenties like a distant memory, now that I’m three months into being thirty.
Smoked Atlantic Salmon by Fishwife
I first became aware of the brand Fishwife when I worked as a pastry cook at Botanica in LA in 2021 and I thought their logo was so cute, I asked them if it would be okay if I got it tattooed on my body. They said yes! I haven’t done it yet, but maybe this collaboration is the inspiration I needed. Also, their fish is just really fucking good. This is not your average store bought salmon. The smoky flavor is supreme and you can really tell the fish is high quality.
Royal Corona Beans by Rancho Gordo
Bean’s are so hot right now. Check any baddie food-fluencers feed. This has to be the most nourishing of all my picks. If you follow Unique Hammond on instagram, you know that beans have the incredible power of healing many ailments because of their high amount of fiber and nutrients. Beans aren’t just a food. They’re a lifestyle! These heirloom beans are the ones I used to make those brothy beans a couple weeks back. Highly recommend!
Aleppo Chile Pepper by Oaktown Spice Shop
Believe it or not, I also worked at Oaktown Spice Shop. It was my last job in the bay, where I spent three months filling jars of spices and herbs. It was definitely worth it for the samples. I particularly like their Aleppo because it’s like the high brow version of red pepper chili flakes, a little more finely ground and with some extra flavor (slightly less heat), it goes well on pretty much everything. I just need spice for a meal to feel truly complete.
And that’s my box of nourishing staples!! Order here.
